Can they do it?  They can make people think at the very least.  The Stewart/Colbert phenomenon is making millions of Americans question what's going on.

But you can stake a claim in the American process the Stewart/Colbert Ticket has led. They are scaring the politicians dependent on your vote by making you think. Take some action and let politicians know they need to use common sense to reach out to the constituency with real language, address issues with honesty (or perhaps truthiness, if you prefer) and understand that there are a multitude of people looking for intelligent strong leadership.

But it only works if you participate.

So as a first step into the pool look to the left under nomination petitions.

===>Over there

Actually voting for them may be self defeating in the end, but backing them until a candidate with a chance steps up to the plate is the message.

There are discussion groups (also on the right), throw parties to discuss issues, assume your position (don't bend too far over).  Start a discussion about anything related to 2008, whether it is getting the signatures to actually get Stewart Colbert listed in the ballot box, talking about other candidates, issues, bashing Democrats and republicans alike (and the other parties as well) and if you have the balls, promote the OPPOSITE of your view in the typical extreme absurdity so common on today's all news networks that have created the Comedy Central new parodies.

Show them they are not fooling you.

Jon Stewart (born Jonathan Stuart Leibowitz, November 28, 1962) is a American comedian, known as host of The Daily Show. The popularity of this late-night show has earned Stewart renown as "the most trusted name in fake news", and he has been called a "Walter Cronkite" for a younger generation. He has also gained attention as an outspoken critic of established news media sources, the White House, Bill O'Reilly and Fox News Channel in general.

Stephen Tyrone Colbert (born May 13, 1964) is an American comedian and satirist known for his dramatic style and witty comedic delivery. He is most famous for his work on The Daily Show, and as the star of its spin-off, The Colbert Report. The latter is a satirical parody of personality-driven, politically conservative news and opinion shows, especially Bill O'Reilly's The O'Reilly Factor. Colbert was named one of Time magazine's 100 most influential people in 2006.
